Experience is something that you don't get until just after you need it.   Perhaps that's why it took us 6 hours to install the printer driver for the Alps MD-1300 printer.   A defective CD-ROM drive was likely the culprit.   As soon as we thought to try downloading the driver from the Net (www.alpsusa.com), it installed in seconds.   No, we're not still using the CD-ROM. |
Micro-Dry is what MD stands for, and refers to the inks used by this dye-sub.   The output is photographic quality only on special paper and with special ink, but the waterproof and fadeproof is true for all output, and is what really sets this printer apart from the rest.   Of course, photographic quality doesn't come cheap. Or, does it?
