 Bible Concepts Introduced:

The account about the bad angels is one of the more significant concepts in the Bible, as it explains the nature of spiritual warfare, and provides the Bible viewpoint on life after death. In the Bible, humans do not have immortal souls, but these disobedient angels who remain able to communicate with living humankind seek to have continued existence in any way they can, even fostering belief that men can communicate with the dead. When a man dies, it is said that his spirit returns to God, but this is the life-force itself and not the person's soul. God may resurrect a person, however, and this is the hope for the dead.

After the flood, all the population was spread about on the earth by the generative power of Noah's three sons.

Noah's son Shem was the progenitor of a man by the name of Abraham. This man received a promise about his seed, namely that all nations would bless themselves by means of this one.
