Internet Up For Garbs:
Clothing Offered On The Web
Featured Publication As the internet becomes more of an e-commerce tool, more and more products are sold on the web, and at an accelerating pace.   So what about buying clothing on the web?   Is the internet up for garbs?
We recently attempted to shop for t-shirts on the web, only to find that it was extremely difficult to find any shirts without logos or printing of some kind on them.   Novelty t-shirts containing images or words were somewhat more plentiful, though.   Finally we found two locations which sell internationally and offer plain t-shirts, but we expect that very soon there will be dozens of such outlets.
Sweatshirts were in exactly the same situation as t-shirts on the web, it being hard to find plain ones.   Other types of shirts abounded at such outlets as Bluefly, but as far as we could tell, department store outlets such as K-Mart and WalMart have yet to show much of a presence on the internet with regard to everyday clothing items.   If clothing is just around the bend, though, how about groceries?
