The Net As Self-Help Tool
Featured Publication If you want to change something, how about starting with yourself?   It is no secret that we don't decide anything for anybody if it's not decided within ourselves.   The power of the internet lies in its ability to offer a wealth of resources from which we may choose to benefit ourselves.
Let's start by enumerating some of the many possible uses of the internet as a source of self-help: current events, medical information, general education, recreation, investment tracking, intellectual stimulation, emotional support, spiritual guidance, shopping, research, troubleshooting, publishing, advertising, technical support, knowledge base, business transaction, travel arrangements to name just a few.
But perhaps more important than all of these examples, is the help that comes from the principle that `connectivity is the mother of comprehension'.   By being connected to the rest of the world, we potentially gain, not just in a physical sense, but by the comprehension which comes as a natural consequence of interconnectivity.   The connection is real.   The world beckons.   So, help yourself.
