The Internet as a Research Tool
The Web As Search Resource
Featured Publication Search, search, and research.   When we determine to find something, a good question is: 'Where in the world am I likely to find the answer to that?'   That's still true on the Web, but now we need a new kind of tool.
Unless you already know the Web address (URL), or are able to dream one up (which can be surprisingly effective), you will probably welcome the Net's plethora of 'Search Engines', tools which are available without charge and perform worldwide searches.
When you need to find something a second time, 'Bookmarks' (a Web Browser standard feature) can be helpful.   Of course, don't overlook those notes you take with a pad and pencil.   Whether you need to find a fact, make a purchase, or get design ideas, try the Web.
