The Internet and a Global Economy
Featured Publication The World Wide Web engenders a whole new way of thinking, if we embrace it.   Specifically, web-thinking is expansive to a point where we no longer need be limited by geography in making purchase decisions.
Information is valuable because of the ability to use it.   In the same way, material things are only good if they are within reach, and because of the Web the entire globe is essentially made smaller by our new ability to see it, reach it, and purchase from it.
Whether we embrace this new culture is of our own choosing, and it hinges on a balance between supporting local vendors and opening new possibilities, but it is beyond doubt that the old adage 'two are better than one' applies here on an unprecedented scale.
