The Holy Bible Book of Revelation - Armageddon

Chapter 16:16
They gathered them together to the place that is called in Hebrew Har-Magedon.

The nations are gathered to a symbolic place called Armageddon for their destruction at the culmination of God's Will for them.   Who will be destroyed?   The Bible goes on to tell us at Revelation 21:8 that "as for the cowards and those without faith and those who are disgusting in their filth and murderers and fornicators and those practising spiritism and idolaters and all the liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur.   This means the second death."
Similarly, those who die at Armageddon will have been unrepentant (Revelation 9:21).   But God's Judgement is Final in the sense that they will not be resurrected and hence will not be able to undergo a 'second death'.   It is significant to note that the reference to fire is a symbol of eternal destruction.   This can be equated to eternal torment by remembering that a tormentor was a term for a jailer in ancient times, and thus death was a sort of eternal jail for those with no hope of a resurrection.
