A buried treasure found
Perhaps in sand is bound
Although it is a joy may warning be
One step can cause it harm
And scarce increase the charm
So caution is advised to get it free

When I was still a boy
I breathed unbounded joy
Embraced a hope so bright and dreams so strong
That to this very day
Though blessed the more I pray
Through caution they endure and just belong

This sand along the shore
Which washed and watered more
Attains a certain soft and silken feel
The rays of sun-white strand
Evoke gnarled pine trees grand
As sweet aroma wafts in blinding reel

That solitary rock
Reminds a faithful flock
Of cherished thoughts and long-forgotten whims
The blazing heat of sands
Awakes Such deeper strands
As weave a web of oft-requited swims

And in that fondest face
Where yearning finds a place
I do return forever to recall
How patient is the will
Such peace (my heart be still)
Where visions of sweet bliss engulf us all

When eagles soar in flight
Brave warriors lead the fight
And good things come in faith to those who dare
So what exalted role
What part without a whole
What spirit breathes without someone to share

The town where I was born
A mindful path well-worn
A beauty as excels a heart's desire
These things belong to me
To who I longed to be
And who (I venture) yet will stir the fire

All good things in my life
Fullfilled within my wife
Reveal an ever-present master plan
You render even more--
My will to just adore
You make me want to be-- a better man

No word can yet express
A sorrow I confess
A love as boils deep beneath this calm
A shameful thing indeed
To want to plant the seed
Then leave my soul to languish in my palm

But on my darkest day
God sent his Brightest Ray
I can't believe I found a love so true
These feelings that I feel
I take to heart-- I kneel
Ask blessings for this Greatest Love...(so due)
