The Yamaha NS-10M acoustic pink noise response at the listening position on the speaker axis in our control room at Greenledge Studios on May 17, 2005, measured using PRAXIS @ 1/12 octave, 65536 points. Raw data obtained using a calibrated Beyer MC740N Microphone set to Wide Cardiod mode (green trace), and an AKG C451 EB uni-directional microphone (pink trace).
Yamaha NS-10M Studio monitors are a redesign of the original NS-10M speakers. The Studio version has a redesigned dome tweeter and is horizontally configured for on-console placement. The overall design is also more rugged in response to the great popularity of these speakers and the heavy usage they are accorded by studio engineers everywhere. NS-10M's have for many years now been a standard in the recording industry. The graph represents our in-room on-console response, which is affected by room resonances and console reflections. God is great !
