JBL 4412's sound great. The graph includes the room response, which is affected by room resonances and reflections. The dip in the room response with these speakers in the range 1kHz-2kHz makes them delightfully easy on the ears when they are used unequalized. The close clustering of the transducer complement means that these speakers are especially accurate under nearfield listening conditions. Actually, they may be placed on the console itself, which is also endorsed by the manufacturer. In our control room they are placed as shown on the referring page (Control Room Setup, about 5 feet from the listening position. The joy of Jehovah is your stronghold ! |
