Song 76 To forever. For strings, a song of praise: by Asaph. 1God is great in Israel 1His name in Judah known 2Salem is his dwelling 2And his refuge Zion's own. 3There he smote the arrows 3As they bent ablaze the bow 3There he over shield and sword 3Did victory bestow. {Pause}4Your glory shines in power still 4These hills abound with game 5The brave of heart to cower will 5Let staunch men die in shame 6Yet Jacob's God, at your approach 6Both horse and rider fall 6To sleep their sleep in silence 6At the wonder of it all. 7And who will rise before you now 7When anger flare your nose 8You send your judgments from on high-- 8The land accepts repose. 8Although they hear and so they fear 8And well they heed your call 9When God was stirred to judge the earth 9The humble got it all. {Pause}10As sure as there is anger now 10Let some to you remain 10And be in anger praised by men 10But wrath do you restrain 11,12 11To God Jehovah swift your vows 11Of his allegiance pay 11For regal hearts he disallows 11To all the kings' dismay © 2003-2005 Ward Green. Selah Psalms 76 10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: The residue of wrath shalt thou gird upon thee.
